Dr. Christian Dahlheim has been Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Financial Services AG since 1 February 2022. Dahlheim, who was born in Berlin, joined the Volkswagen Group in 2005 as Head of Corporate Development at Volkswagen Financial Services AG. Between 2008 and 2012, he held the position of Regional Manager Europe & International, which gave him responsibility for the financial services business in European and selected overseas markets. In 2012, Dahlheim moved to the USA as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of VW Credit, Inc. In 2014, he was appointed President and CEO of that company, assuming overall responsibility for the Volkswagen Group’s financial services business in North America. From 1 January 2016 to September 2018, Dr. Christian Dahlheim served as Member of the Management Board of Volkswagen Financial Services AG with responsibility for Sales and Marketing. From October 2018 to the end of January 2022, he was Head of Group Sales at Volkswagen AG.

Dahlheim holds a degree in physics and received his doctorate in business administration and management from the European Business School.
